It's a bunch of crap!

First off, it doesn't even deserve one star. The sound quality wasn't bad while it worked. After about 45 days of occasional use, the sound began to distort and within about 10 minutes the sound was completely gone. As it was under warranty I was offered to pay for the return postage and provide my credit card information so I could pay for the return postage after they supposedly fixed it. How long this will continue after that is written in the stars. Of course I had to give 6-8 weeks for…

Sketchy warranty terms, great little dent for little money!

Edit: It broke in less than 6 months, had to send it back to Pyle and pay $30 round trip for a $60 product, even with a warranty. what is divorce I bought a PDA4BU just for the garage radio and didn't want to break the bank. It has way more bells and such than I'm going to use. The ohms on my speakers were low enough that I could connect 4, not just 2. I recommend this, 2 small issues to mention. The FM antenna isn't the best, but picks up great. Second, you can't switch FM channels manually on

Works great as a TV audio input which is what I bought it for

The main reason I bought it was to connect my TV to some old floorstanding speakers I had. It was the only cheap receiver I could find with an optical input. For this purpose it works as I had hoped. I also use it occasionally to play music from my phone via Bluetooth, connection is easy. I'm not a music lover, but the sound is normal for my purposes. The main downside is that the user interface isn't the best, especially the remote control as mentioned by others. Also, the "mode" button works…

Home theater failure rate 66%

I bought three of these to test a small supermarket chain. One was DOA. No speaker output straight out of the box. FAIL. The second is still operational, in programmed 24-7 material. It took several weeks to replace the DOA unit before it failed without the speaker failing. I grew up in the 1980's - Pyle, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Fisher, JVC. My nostalgia may have gotten the better of me. Pyle isn't feeling very well. I bought a PT510 for a dozen chain stores. <25% of the units I've bought…

Great Sound - Receiver and Amplifier

Bought because flat screen TV sound is terrible. I pulled an old Pioneer VSX455 out of the closet and hooked it up to Polk bookshelf speakers, it sounded great for a couple of days and then it died. I was looking at a two-channel receiver from Yamaha and Pioneer for about $150. They seemed a bit over the top for a pair of 5.25" bookshelf speakers, so after doing some research on Chinese mini receivers I settled on the Pyle as there were plenty of them. inputs. With an open box of less than $50,

Pyle PDA4BU Review

We bought it because a) it had a headphone jack on the front, b) it had bluetooth, c) it had tone, volume and extra inputs and the ability to power small speakers to supply; d) Judging by the photos to the left of the product description, it should have had a PC/USB port on the back as well, which it does NOT. Spring. After much research we were able to determine that Pyle had the same photos describing the PC USB port on a low powered (100W or less) stereo Bluetooth amp. Until then we were…

good value for home audio

I ordered from Revain and received the PDA4BU quickly. I connected it and it works. I spent some time trying to connect Bluetooth to my desktop computer, but I think the problem was mostly with the computer. Once it's running, it sounds nice and clean. My Bluetooth USB chip, which transfers data from the computer, is about 10 feet from the Bluetooth antenna on the back of the PDA4BU. In my 15 x 25 foot living room it fills the room with sound - I can play it really loud but basically just…

I bought it to use with a player I'm restoring. Problems started almost immediately out of the box: the VHF antenna connector bent as if it had been hit en route. This is a small issue, I ignored it. As soon as I plugged my vinyl into the phono input, I noticed an insistent hum coming from the 60Hz line. I've emailed Pyle support to see if I'm doing something wrong. About a week later they sent me a message asking me to toggle the CD/PHONO switch on the back panel. There was no such switch on…
