I use them to store sequins of different colors and styles for the Christmas decorations I make. I really like this container as I can pull out a single cube as I work and don't have to worry about accidentally knocking over another type of storage compartment (not individual cubes with tops) and risk mixing hundreds of thousands of sparkles. I've ordered several of these and they've all been great except for one that broke one of the two outer clasps the first time I opened it.

The goods arrived safely. There are no cracks on the suitcases and storage compartments. They are made of transparent hard plastic. Easy to open, just pinch the edges. The lids can be lifted with a lot of effort, but they must not accidentally open. I can't say that in the event of a fall, nor will I find out the hard way. I like these dice because diamond drill bits can be saved by number. When I complete a new project I make a number label (as in the DMC number) on the top of each cube (add R for round or S for square). I make a second label for the face of the cube that shows the symbol for that color number. Each die is numerically in a larger box.
