Poor quality fittings.

The shipping box has been opened. There are little screws everywhere. Looks like someone already sent it back. Some screws were in bags, others were loose. The first screw sheared off. Lost another 2-3 as heads were ripped off. A few more were junk: they were crooked or the screwdriver slots were misshapen.

  • Handsfree

Screws damaged Entire project

Not sure what grade these screws are from but the top parts rust after 1 week. Not surface rust. Rusty ceilings break. In addition to the rust, you have to be very careful not to scrape it off. They are very soft. On the contrary, the loops themselves are strong. Unfortunately, the propellers ruined the entire Scout Community project.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Avoid these loops!

The screws that come with it are terrible! several were already bent before installation in the container. When installing the first hinge, 3 heads broke off and the countersink in the hinge is not large enough to fully submerge the screw head. Once fully installed they will wobble and sag. There is a complete lack of quality control. Pay a few euros more and get something better!

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Almost never

Not exactly rustproof! Rusts fast!

This is NOT exactly stainless steel, it will rust very badly in a few months as you can see in the photo. Also compare their condition with the angle brackets shown, which are actually made of stainless steel. Unfortunately, this really messes up a project I've invested a lot of time and money into. They will be difficult to replace discreetly (these are also the only hinges we bought from Revain, so there was no mistake on our part).

Screws very brittle

When installing my first hinge, 3 screws in a piece of white oak broke. I pre-drilled the holes knowing it was hardwood. I broke off 2 screw heads, drilled a 3rd hole with a larger bit and broke off the 3rd screw. So I got better screws. The hinges seem okay so far, but I have some concerns about durability. My suggestion: If you're working with hardwoods, maybe get better screws, and with softer woods or materials it might be a good idea to use a hand screwdriver.

How to Install Screws Properly

New screws are a good idea, but if you can't get them here's how. 1- Drill a pilot hole. Make sure the pilot hole is slightly deeper than the screw, otherwise you will tear off the head. 2- Correct tightening of the screw must be flush. Resist the urge to add an extra twist to "make sure it's really tight". Otherwise the head will come off. 3-Apply some wax paste to the screw, then install SLOWLY. He will enter and sit properly. I had no problems with the screws. Just go slow and follow the…

Just a terrible product

I have only written one negative review in over a decade. I believe that the quality of most products is probably somewhere between the best and worst ratings. NOT IN THIS CASE! These are the cheapest hinges and screws I've ever tried! I figured the other bad reviews were most likely from people who didn't really know how to install the hinge or properly tighten the small screw. I guess I was wrong. I tried to use only four of the screws that came with it: 1 fits fine. 1 stripped with minimal…
