It is quite angular and actually a bit difficult to fill. Only takes a second or two more time but rests on the tap when filling. However, the top light comes on when the kettle is heating up. A great purchase if you are patient and care more about beauty than function.

I've looked everywhere for a nice kettle with little or no plastic coming into contact with water or steam.
