☕ Bodum Kenya French Press Coffee Maker: 4-Cup Capacity, 17-Ounce Review

Purchased to replace a broken one as sometimes happens with glass. For me, its rather unusual size is perfect. Plus it meets the high quality standards I've come to expect from Bodum and makes great coffee.

Very well designed, well built, not cheap at all. Slightly more expensive than other options but you get what you pay for, great product!

I love this french press! My old Bodum broke - the metal disc holding the filter came loose and then the glass shattered on a light tap - and I was reluctant to buy a new one. But this one seems to be better made and is enough for me in the office.

16-18 oz (depending on how full you fill it) this is perfect for my travel mug. Most other small French presses only produce 12 ounces, with typical ones producing a quart or more. It also appears to be solidly built. The strainer seems to do a better job (than my previous 12-ounce press) of preventing most of the French press slime from getting into the coffee.

The product image on the page does NOT match what you will receive. (see photos) What I received also had a clear crack in the cap where the plunger lever crosses. I was expecting to see better how this was shipped from Revain and not a third party. Everything else is genuine Bodum and undamaged; hence the 2 stars.

This is great if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a K-cup coffee maker. It makes a delicious cup of coffee for one person. Make no mistake, this is really only enough for one person (unless you drink it from small cups with a classic design). You should also use coarsely ground coffee, it just makes it a little richer. Although I've used fine soil many times before and it still works great!

Perfect size for me; easy to use, clean and store. I was exactly that size for 15 years and a day. HORROR. I dropped it and it broke! Oh no, boo hoo hoo. I bought it and finally found it! O happy day! I love this coffee maker for its simplicity. Not all coffee presses are the same. I love that I can twist the lid to close the spout and then twist it back to pour. Not all presses allow it. It says "4 cups" but it actually means about a cup and a half in my large mug. Bodum names the 4 ounce mug!
