So far so good - replaces scrap Watts/Grundfos

Installed this pump yesterday. while it works fine. This pump replaces the Watts circulating pump (2 of which died after only 2-3 years of use). The only thing to remember is that it doesn't plug directly into the 3/4 inch fitting on the water heater. because it has (2) 3/4 plugs (because it's advertised as a pressure intensifier I think). No big deal, I just bought a 3/4 inch female to female adapter. I use the same bypass valve as the Watts pump. We'll see how well it holds up against this…

what he Suitable for drinking water, but not for drinking water

Use this pump to circulate hot water around the home, bringing hot water to remote faucets almost instantly. The pump works great and is quiet. However, the name of this pump says "can be used in drinking water pipes" and then "not suitable for drinking water". what he For the model I bought (cast iron pump body) this could be the last. Even after "3-5 uses" there is a chemical taste in the water that wasn't there before the pump was installed. It looks like some kind of coating has been…

DIY pump, worked fine (Lay-Z-Spa pump replacement)

Actually used as a replacement pump for a 2 year old Bestway/Coleman Lay-Z-Spa. My impeller and impeller shaft were beyond repair (I tried, trust me) so I just bypassed the pump. I left the old pump in place, unplugged it and installed it under the "egg" between the suction line and the inlet of the old pump. I just cut the tubing that was there and used the clamps to attach it to this pump. So quiet you can't hear it, and it has a really good, steady stream. I can still use the heater in the…

Not suitable for use under the sink due to mixing.

I bought this pump for an under counter pump to get hot water without wasting a lot of water down the drain. It replaces a cheaper pump I had that was starting to leak. I ran it from hot to cold water under the bathroom sink. The positive thing is that the pump is very quiet. Almost inaudible. Disappointing: 1) It doesn't prevent leakage if it doesn't work. Therefore, without a check valve, hot and cold water will mix through the pump, heating cold water and cooling hot water. I installed a…
