Good toy for most small birds

This is a good toy for cockatiels or smaller birds. If your bird likes crunchy sounds or playing gently with toys. It won't work well with a small bird the size of a Goffin Cockatoo. It has a center with a metal bar to hold the parts. If the bird tears the straw from the metal, it can be dangerous if the bird bends it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some trouble

Unsafe Bird Toy!

This is not a safe bird toy. Any bird playing with this toy can easily bite off the oar straps on the ends of the toy handles. Finger traps are a great thing to chew on to help manage bills. However, the rubber bands and pieces of foam found in the middle of the finger traps are dangerous if chewed on. They can swallow pieces of Styrofoam or rubber bands and become lodged in their esophagus. This will kill your bird.

My Quaker liked it but made a HUGE mess

I have nothing against chaos. If you have Conure or Quaker you are already used to the mess they usually cause. Kennels love to pick through their food and throw away things they don't need. Quakers LOVE toys and THIS toy in particular was one of the dirtiest toys we have ever had. Rschunimagu. I have to say my bird really liked this toy so it was worth buying. It was just that the little pieces he crushed so easily were EVERYWHERE. HAHA. That's my only warning. 🤣 It only lasted a few days, so

Well made toy but larger than pictured and not spiral shaped.

I ordered this toy for my parrot because I thought it would be interested in the spiral shape, but the toy I received was different from the one in the photo. The toy was about 3 inches taller vertically than pictured, also shaped like a rectangle instead of a spiral. It was so big that it scared my parrot and didn't want to explore it. I took it out of the cage a few minutes after I left it hanging there while my parrot was hiding in the corner :- }. Unfortunately it is non-refundable…

Shredder Paradise for my pleasure.

Thanks to Hayley's heartbreaking review of the crimp on the underside, I checked again and found it was adequately crimped, although I can't speak for everyone as pliers may come in handy for some. Everyone said my conure loves it and has already destroyed half of it in a couple of weeks. I will be buying another one but do check the crimps on all my products which involve the inevitable use of metal to hold them. together. Four stars out of five because someone's bird got hurt and in the…

My parrot loves this toy!

My cockatiel liked this toy at first sight. He spends more time with this toy than any other toy in his cage, which we change every few weeks. From time to time he would jump and sit on top of her and chew on her, which I think is because he likes the material of this toy - although I'm not sure what it's actually made out of, not plastic or paper, but it is save. The bird doesn't swallow any of it, it just bites off a tiny piece or grabs a whole straw and drops it after the bite. A month has…
