These guards have saved me thousands of dollars! After the clenching and grinding cracked the tooth and eroded the enamel on everyone else's, I was sent for a special attachment to hold what was locking my teeth. Between building and maintaining protection through countless visits and x-rays, I've spent over $6,000 on a damn mouthguard and an exam. When it broke I had just graduated from grad school and couldn't find a job so I tried it and have been using it ever since. It takes a few tries to

Has the job of relieving mouth pain

I bought this as a product because I can't afford the expensive $650 specialty mouth guard from the dentist and my nighttime teeth grinding caused me to break a few fillings. Therefore, it seemed obvious to try this product at all. Putting it in my mouth without shaping it was a disaster, and not only did it give me a gag every time I tried it, it encouraged non-compliance due to the uncomfortable feeling. However, once I fitted it to my teeth, it was incredibly easy to tolerate and I use itโ€ฆ

Not very practical but cheap option

On the recommendation of a dentist I bought my first mouthguard for grinding and clenching my teeth. I had read the previous reviews and thought I'd give it a try as the price was right. Here are my reasons for 3 stars.1. The restoration process on first use was easy enough, now that my teeth aren't perfectly aligned it took a few steps to get a tight fit. I didn't want to make any modifications to the fairing after only a few uses, so I just removed the attached tab for hot water immersion. Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

I was one of those who started to grind/bite my teeth. My parents spent $600 to see a dentist several times, and I kept breaking equipment. I then moved on to these types of sanding pads that you could just buy for less at Walgreens etc with much more success. I had a very good experience. with the original Doctors Night Guard - but are no longer sold. They now have increased comfort redesigned by Doctors Night Guard, but I come across them far too easily. Whatever they changed didn't work forโ€ฆ

Big! Beauty and Personal Care

I bought this protector because I clench my teeth (not squeak). The contact points on my teeth became so sensitive that I couldn't eat multigrain bread (the one with small seeds) because it was very painful. Now after only 1 week of use I have much less sensitivity. That's great! I agree with other reviewers that it's a bit difficult to shape to keep in your mouth. It took me 3-4 tries. That being said, I finally figured out that to get a good shape for your teeth, you're just trying to suckโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Useful for other than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Annoying

Saved me over $500! for oral care

I grind my front teeth (although I don't even notice it). don't use. It was too big and uncomfortable for sleeping. She bought another custom guard for over $500 which is perfect, thin, light and small with four little plastic posts to hold it in place. She loves it. I do, but I'm not as picky about maintenance as they are. I don't want to spend $1000 on something like this. I just put this bonus 2-for-1 Grind Guard set in hot water (it didn't boil). On the first try, I sucked out the air soโ€ฆ
