I was skeptical about buying a finer tooth blade for my Harbor Freight band saw (model 93762) (OEM 18 tooth blade didn't cut very fast or for long), but after the first cut I agreed This Bosch 24 tooth saw blade made me realize that these Bosch saw blades were the answer to the previously mediocre performance of this saw! I was amazed at how quickly this blade cut through the corner I cut with my saw. What used to take about a minute to cut now took just a few seconds (about 25 seconds for a 2"
I've been using these on my high frequency band saw for a while now. I see others complaining that the teeth are too thin or that the blade cuts unevenly, but I don't have any of these issues. I have hand cut 1/4" thick sheet steel and 3/4" diameter steel rod on my bench rig which I made with no problems, but I usually cut 12-16 gauge steel to make grommets for my bikes etc. to manufacture. I've also cut all types of aluminum, which is a joke on this blade compared to steel. The blade cuts…
I bought a Bosch bandsaw as a replacement because I already bought an Imachinist bi-metal bandsaw. In short, the Machinist's blade was so deformed that I couldn't follow it. I've spent hours tracking down this new blade. However, as soon as a load was applied to the Imachinest blade, it flew off the wheels. The Chinese made Machinist blade is complete junk costing me time and money. I installed a Bosch knife, made some minor adjustments and it has been cutting for a few days. I don't normally…
Let's be realistic. Band saws for metal are consumables. Anyone who uses such a band saw will quickly get used to always having a spare band at hand, because over time they become dull and have to be replaced, or the saw blade suddenly jams and breaks. I'm not the type of person who has unrealistic expectations of finding a magic saw that will last ten years. I will not arbitrarily determine how long these blades will last. The type of metal you are cutting, the alloy of the metal, and your…
