Works Great: Glued Nails

Used thousands and thousands of these nails to hammer plywood backing. Drive in nails every 4 inches. No problem. The nailer never jammed. All nails are fully inserted. Nobody jumped out.

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • Some Cons

Perfect length for 1/4 " soffit

I can't buy roll fairing nails locally without paying the freight or ordering 2-3 weeks in advance. Two day returns, free! You do not snag in the gun and usually fit well.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Not as good quality as other Bostitch nails.

I go through about a dozen packs a year on Hardy siding. It was the first time I tried 1.5. I usually buy between 1.75 and 2.25. Not sure if these are fakes or a bad batch. If I shoot one of 10 of these nails, the head pops out and the nail bends. Also, I only received 3600 (12 packs) and not 4200 (13 packs).

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Problems shooting: Nails removed

The nails seem to break frequently and then cannot get into the combustion chamber. This forces me to open the chamber and reinsert the nails. I'm still on the first roll of nails and this has happened a few times.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent nails for tape attachment

Bought these nails to repair a 125 year old house siding. The job is almost done and I haven't had any misfires with these nails yet. The only problem I had was that sometimes a wire whip would stick out from under the head, but I think that's the problem with all wire band nails. I would buy these Bostitch nails again anytime.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

Great product: Duct tape nails

I bought these nails for installing fiber cement siding. I was just blind hammering. The price intrigued me. I did a lot of research before buying. I checked out local hardware stores and was disappointed with their selection of rings. I could not find this particular product in any hardware store. The ring stem is what I want and all the stores have a smooth stem. I found a coiled eyebolt at a store for about $20 more than a 2" nail of the same type. This experience may be unique to Kansas…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
