Worked as it should

Replaced the hood struts on my 2008 Hummer easy to install and one held it up why did I put the other one used the ball studs that came with the kit because the original was smaller and more valuable for Money.

Great replacement for the hood!

Worked great on my Hummer H3. Compared to the new struts, I had no idea how weak my original hood struts were! When it was cold, the hood almost didn't hold up even on the old racks. It's holding up well now!

An exact replacement for my factory originals.

Easy installation of both units with original equipment. The whole process took no more than 5 minutes. As mentioned by others, finding a bar or board to hold the hood up takes longer than swapping out struts. They are quite sturdy and feel well made. Racks hold the hood very well. easy to lift but requires little effort to close. To close, the upward pressure must be overcome, which is good for holding the hood. But once the trigger point is reached, they close quite easily. My shop wanted to…

Pretty good replacement strut

I love these new struts and they are definitely stronger than my aging GM hood struts on my Hummer H3 '07. If you have a Hummer H3 '07 you may want to consider replacing the ball stud attached to the fender. The OEM ball stud is 8mm in diameter for the OEM strut and these new BOXI struts require the included 10M - M6 1.0 ball stud. It is very easy to replace it. If you don't replace the ball joint, the new prop will rock on this smaller ball joint. Another observation is that these BOXI struts…

Direct Fit replacement hood stays (supports) for my 2006 Hummer H3

Very good hood stays. They include mounting hardware if your vehicle has other mounts. I didn't need any fittings as they fit perfectly instead of the original (Hummer H3 from 2006). Installation took less than 5 minutes and I spent most of my time looking for a wrench to unscrew the old hood struts and finding someone to hold the hood while I changed the first strut. Literally everything is done in a snap, technically 4 clicks for the whole job. I don't know how long they will last but they…

installed in the time it takes you to read this review.

I've watched some YouTube videos on replacing these racks. Believe me, it's a lot easier than you imagine. All you have to do is stick a small flat head screwdriver under the small spring steel band on the stand and pry it up (you will need pliers to remove the band). Once removed, simply remove the end of the strut from the round ball joint. Do the same for the other end and "Taa-daa", you're almost done. The new block really just snaps into place. A YouTube video showed a man struggling to…
