I've been using this for some time now and it helps keep the water clear although the seeds I bought for the 'carpet' were not as advertised. This allowed the grass to bloom (an understatement of the year) but the water is still clear!

Not sure what to think of this yet. I'm happy to see if this will help my tank but am concerned as the bottle is a bit cracked and dry. My buddy bought it and told me it came out a little wet, not dry like mine. Hopefully this doesn't affect the performance.

I have before and after photos, you can see how clean it has become since I added this medium to the aquarium. Now crystal clear water. I'm impressed, I've never tried the green version but having so many plants I figured this was the best option to buy. Works great with happy fish and spoiled adorable chickens!

I will update later but here are my first comments on Chemi Pure Green. The product has only been in my filter for 4 days and everything is fine. I have a planted tank and was looking for something that would be compatible and help keep the tank pristine rather than taking my frets off. The water is very clear and the plants look great. I hope this continues, I will update.

I have used Chemipure Elite with the same water clarity in my low tech planting aquarium. My stem plants feel even better with this product. Also, when using the Elite I had to buy a large size for my 29 gallon tank as the smaller size is limited to 25 gallons or less (and believe me I tried and they were right). However, the smaller green costs 35 gallons or less, so I can use the cheaper option. So the lower the price, the better the plants. A win!

I would give this product more stars if I could. I put it in a Cascade canister filter that works in my 50 gallon aquarium. The water was already pretty good, but now the clarity is exceptional (see photo). All the plants are doing much better and the fish are healthy and thriving in all 17. Please note that this product is specially designed for freshwater and planted aquariums. It draws no fertilizer. You will NOT be disappointed with this product, it's fantastic. Buy with confidence.

A few decades later I returned to the freshwater aquarium. I have a 29 gallon tank and a Fluval 306 canister filter. After a year and a half of almost pure water, I found a combination that changed everything. I had two packs of Purigen in the filter.
