This was a gift for a friend who often grills kebabs and often overcooks. He's been using it since I sent it to him and while he says it hasn't improved his grilling much, it's handy to be able to walk away from the grill without burning yourself. His wife, two older children and his mother-in-law told me about it. It was great to have the roast pork that wasn't dry and the steaks that were cooked to the perfect medium. Overall it's a good product but a broken probe is annoying. The signal is shorter than described. I'm in line of sight and the signal drops between 20 and 25 feet. I only get a signal from my kitchen window when I'm home. I would have given 4 stars but a faulty probe put it at 3. The signal was significantly shorter, so one star is gone. I've finished replacing the thermometer, so we'll see if the replacement is better. I will update afterwards.

Thing costs about the same as my last thermometer but is woefully inferior in performance. 6 sensors allow me to cook 5 steaks (one for each family of 5) and another to control the temperature of the grill.
