Sound quality and workmanship are exemplary! Without a doubt this is the best 300v amp for the money. The noise floor problem can be solved by isolating the rectifier board from the chassis. Now the amplifier is silent! The tube amp shop is a pleasure. Very responsive support.

I ordered this amp on Sunday. It arrived from China on Wednesday. Very fast delivery. Since I build tube amps and wanted to build a 300V amp I bought it for 300V tubes and transformers to build it. I've tried it with my McIntosh and Fisher 400 tube amps (both refurbished with the best Telefunken tubes etc.). My old backup tube amps were blown away by the Boyuurrange A-50. Interesting amp. Replaced Hi-End Legacy Sansui Au919 with 100W RMS. This one is rated at about 7 watts and I can't push it more than 1/4 turn of the volume knob. It drives a 70-tower Polk Audio monitor separated by a 10-inch Polk Audio subwoofer. Pleasant sound. The shelves seem to have woken up with this amp. Looks very good. I tried this amp after seeing Steve Guttenberg's review of it. After about 4 days with this amp, all I can say is that I don't want to stop listening to music with it. This amp replaced the 200 watt per channel Peachtree solid state amp. I was a little concerned that the A50's low output would not be enough to power my large floorstanding speakers (although they are fairly efficient speakers at 91dB sensitivity). I just got the amp about an hour ago. It was packaged very well and the instructions really help not to damage the tubes during installation. It is so well described that if you still damage the lamps, it is better not to touch any technical devices at all. I shouldn't be writing a review right after 1 hour, but I was impressed by this little tube amp. I hooked up my Tangband 1808 full range open baffle speakers and wow. It's hard to believe that this will sound even better the longer it burns.

If you love acoustic music and know your way around lamps, you will be more than satisfied with this gem. I mainly listen to jazz, blues, folk, classic rock and classical music. I've never heard anything better. Solid state (transistors) just don't work for me. First, 300b bulbs don't feel tight in their sockets. Although they get along well. In 20 hours of operation they have lost much of their original height definition. Pretty nice depth and breadth of sound. Good detail and no noise. It's warmer, more forward-thrust, livelier and has more bass than my Boyuurrange Reisong A10 EL34 amp.
