Great except for the plastic taste

I would give 4 stars if it weren't for the taste of plastic. Something seems to be leaching from the container into the water. I've left water in it for days to see if it would eventually stop, but it really hasn't. I've done this 3 times now at home nevermind that I've backpacked with it about 3 times so far. I think it's gotten better, but it's still there. I'm disappointed. Maybe I need to try a new one. Don't think I can send this back at this point.Ok, the above issue aside, it's a great…

Pros
  • Easy to clean
Cons
  • Can be difficult to fill in shallow water sources

Durable, lightweight and easy to use

I purchased this bag to go with a Katadyn Befree filter and this combination is my favorite water filter system I've ever used. Very simple to fill the collapsible HydraPak with water from a creek, screw on the filter and squeeze water through the filter into a water bottle. Quick and simple!I found this bag to be durable, no concern about breaking it with repeated use, and it doesn't feel fragile in any way. I need to include that my use has been in warm summer months; I have no experience…

Pros
  • Minimizes waste and reduces plastic consumption
Cons
  • Can be difficult to squeeze without causing leaks

I use it daily for my opinion

I use this daily for walking a pack of dogs. It goes in my backpack and is pretty durable and a lot nicer than carrying a hard metal tin or a bottle. Lays flat against my back. Easy to pour and fill. I have had two of these and my previous one my boyfriend now uses and its over a year old- just fine! I love it.

Pros
  • Low maintenance and easy to care for
Cons
  • Can develop odors if not stored properly

A tough flexible water container

I was looking for a water container that was packable and would stand up to freezing. I filled this bag with water and froze it solid. No damage to the bag. After thawing there were no leaks. I did this twice with no problems. I left about an inch of airspace at the top when filling to allow for expansion just to be safe but I probably didn't need to do that. The bag has enough flexibility to accommodate freezing. Tough material. Nice volume graduations on the side. Also it has two baffles…

Pros
  • Easy to use and operate
Cons
  • Can be difficult to see water level when filling

Treestand Urinal for my opinion

This thing holds as much as 4 liters of fluid, I purchased the 2 liter. It is extremely compact and fits inside its bag. Very durable material! Wide mouth opening for easy fill. Thick and tight threaded lid, no leakage. It solved a size and portability problem for me. When you're in a tree for 6-10 hours waiting for a white tail, your options are limited when nature visits your bladder. Hey, this thing works like a charm. The color is Mammoth Grey, so I know what this vessel is used for. I…

Pros
  • Freeze and thaw resistant
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all backpacking trips

Tough material, this isn't as rugged as the dromedary bags but it's lighter. Well, the same material as the standard Hydrapak reservoirs I guess, but it's pretty durable. It's shaped as an oval cylinder rather than a flat pouch which is nice, it slips into the side pocket of my pack really well. There are little molle strips to attach it to something, or clip onto it or something. I hooked it to my chest strap as it was almost empty and I was almost dead and just trying to suck a little down at

Pros
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • May not be suitable for kayaking or canoeing

Perfect for natural disaster prep/emergency kit

I just received these in the mail today, and ordered them to store filtered drinking water in my fridge in preparation for Hurricane Florence. I wish I had ordered a couple more! They're a little pricey, but well worth it considering what I can use them for AND they collapse so easily for storage later (better alternative to huge bottles that take up cabinet space). I figure it's also better to have these on hand than fight with everyone at the grocery store for what remains of water supplies…

Pros
  • Resistant to abrasion, punctures, and UV rays
Cons
  • Can be difficult to drink from while on the move

Great collapsible water bottle

I saw my friend using it and it looks a big space saver for backpacking, so I bought one. So far I'm super happy with it. The material feels quite durable. The cap is attached with bottle, so no concern about dropping the cap accidently. The empty bottle can be rolled together into quite small size which saves a lot of space when backpacking. Highly recommend it!

Pros
  • Comes with a flexible drink tube and high-flow bite valve
Cons
  • Can be difficult to seal completely
