Wrong connector. It should have the same connector as the one on the tailgate, but instead has the same connector as the chassis harness. I had to order a new connector and solder it to make it work. I had to reconfigure and build it from scratch.

I had high hopes for a simple camera. I removed the rear door (factory installed reversing camera). I just wanted a simple camera connected to a factory wiring harness. a factory connector cap (provided by the manufacturer to prevent corrosion) and this camera connector. Whether a male connector is attached to this camera or not, a female connector is required to connect directly to one of the factory connectors. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Crew Cab SLT Harvest.

Most importantly, it connects to the Ram Camera Wiring Harness without any modifications. I bought it because I need to remove the back door when installing my RV.
