Brentwood TS 322 Single Electric Burner Review

This thing doesn't work very well because the temperature drops or shuts off after you've used it for about 10 minutes. I was constantly fumbling with the double trying to get the temperature back up so my meal was ready. I need to find a better one because I like to use my cast iron skillet and have a glass top stove so I can use cast iron on it. That's why I bought this single electric torch. But it was more trouble than it was worth.

I bought this for a makeshift kitchen while we are doing repairs. Pros: heats up quickly; can't beat the price. Cons: It never really gets hot, nothing above what would be average on a regular stove; actually not even hot enough to fry well. I can't imagine boiling a pot of water on this stove, much less cooking seriously. However, I can make scrambled eggs in the morning and a veggie burger in the evening. So this works for our limited needs.

There was a power outage in Texas in February. After a week without electricity and freezing temperatures, we were lucky enough to get a motel room. The motel stopped serving food because of the virus! There was a small microwave and a small refrigerator. We took some food from home so we weren't hungry but if I had this burner we could eat eggs bacon etc. We have a caravan and it's just perfect for use in the caravan when we don't want to use propane.

What an unusual little device! I confess I was really afraid it would suck because it was so cheap, but I was wrong. This is a great portable stove. I'm a professional chef, so I know a good cooking utensil when I see one. This is a great powerful little helper in the kitchen. I will be taking it on a trip soon so I did a good test with many dishes and I was not disappointed. Cooking the rice required a little more attention but worked out well. 1 with a chili pot turned on, about 2 liters and it will alternately boil and cool. There is no intermediate temperature. It turns the heating on for a while and off for a while. The cycle time, if it works like this, is too long. I have a balaclava for motorcycling in cold weather and it works the same but the cycle is only 1 second. Com'on - Do it right Revain. The product received has a three-coil torch element, while the product photo on Revain's website and on the manufacturer's website shows a four-coil torch element.
