Great bottle if you're using an unnecessary hack.

I bought this stainless steel bottle to replace my old Brita water bottle. I wanted this "upgrade" because my old one leaked when it was laid on its side and it wasn't insulated. This stainless steel bottle keeps water and ice cold for a long time when you use it. Overall, it's fairly easy to use and clean. But it is very difficult to get water through the straw when you tighten the lid. Sounds stupid, it is. If you unscrew the lid a little, water flows easily out of the straw. But tighten it…

Finally! Filter bottle made of stainless steel!

Example: This is a Britta filter bottle. It fits in cup holders and has a handle. It's not so big that I can wear it during breaks without getting tired. I love that it's stainless steel, so worry less about the plastic - it's still there, but less so than the hard plastic bottle Britta carries around. It is convenient to drink from the straw. Cons: You can't pour filtered water like you can from a Britta pitcher. If you are looking for this option (e.g. to prepare shakes or baby food with…

Brita could be better

I bought a bottle of Brita to reduce my carbon footprint and throw away single use plastic bottles like so many others. Brita fits perfectly in the cup holder in the car and on the treadmill in the gym. It also keeps water cold well. However, Brita is not airtight. Water drips out of the vent every time I flip the bottle over my face and shirt. In addition, the air is swallowed with every sip. At 20 ounces, it holds a little more than a standard 16.9 ounce bottle, which is good since the…

READ THIS IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT

I've only had this bottle for a day so I can't give a full and honest review. However, many people have/had problems with water leakage. I had the same issue, but I figured it out: if you unscrew the lid with the straw/filter attached, you can look under the top and see a small lock/unlock symbol (see image for reference). All you have to do is twist it a little in the direction shown to lock it in place. It wasn't made too obvious, but now it works as intended. I don't tip the bottle like a…

Great vodka! Filters and stays very cold!

There were mixed reviews for this Brita insulated steel water bottle, so I bought this (with steel insulation) AND original Brita BPA free plastic water bottle. I like them both! Plastic for use at home and elsewhere when it's not hot, and steel for insulating properties. The disadvantage of an insulated fridge is that you have to put ice in it or it takes quite a long time to cool down in the fridge. BUT, if you put ice in it and/or wait for it to cool in the fridge, it STAYS very cold. The…
