I don't think it's an original Brother product. The packaging says it's Brother, but there's no Brother logo anywhere on the drums like my other drums. In my opinion this is a counterfeit repackaged as a genuine Brother product. I would return it if I could, but all I had to do was replace the drum.

There was a smudge when printing. After searching countless solutions, most of which didn't work at all, and a few that seemed to work, I found that the drum on the black was damaged. I had to replace. Not wanting to bother with another color I replaced them all and now the print looks great. Like new. They are machine parts and wear out over time.

This is an OEM at an incredible price. Great Brother quality, great price especially when compared to local ones. Some other color lasers had drums that were so expensive that it was easier to throw out the printer and buy a new one. That is exactly what is needed. I usually keep an eye on HP printers, but my last two Brother color laser printers have been great and cheap to run.
