🧵 Optimized SA135 Overlock Vertical Foot for Brother Sewing Machines Review

This is not the original part under which it is advertised. I've placed the original foot on the right side of the photo to compare them. When I received the pull over foot in the mail I found that it was smaller and much lighter than the original part that came with the machine. I'm afraid it will break because it seems so fragile compared to the original part. I cannot recommend this foot.

After setting up the machine correctly the Brother Overlock Foot SA135 did a good job of keeping the overlock stitch right on the edge of the fabric. According to the instructions, the stitch width should be set to at least 3.5 mm. This part should probably be printed in big bold. If you use a narrower stitch width, the needle will hit the thin metal bar in the center of the foot. Oh my god, my little machine works almost like an expensive serger with it! Maybe someday I'll get one, but until then I'll use this overlock foot. It can simultaneously sew a seam and overcast seam allowances to prevent fraying. Keep in mind that to do this in one go, you'll need to trim your seam allowances to 1/4" since most seam allowances are 1/2" to 5/8".
