I ordered the correct length collar which is considered a size XL but the width is too wide and looks silly on my dog. This is a two layer nylon collar. I use this on my 2 year old male Doberman who is very active and pretty darn strong so time will tell. I will not use it as a work collar as nothing beats the durability of a well made leather collar designed for working a dog. I use it all the time for my favorite sheep to guide and tie for a few hours if needed. Also used for a large, tough, aggressive goat that needed to be tied up. The halter irritated his nose, but the collar was comfortable and very secure. If the collar can hold a big goat, then it's strong!
