Incredible aid for outdoor enthusiasts

This handheld GPS is an absolute must-have for anyone who spends time in the outdoors. Through trial and error, I found that it was incredibly easy to use and accurate in determining my location. The orange and black color combination is fantastic for visibility, and the device is compact and lightweight. The only minor drawback is that the battery life could be a bit longer, but this is a small price to pay for such a great tool. Overall, I highly recommend this product for all nature lovers.

Pros
  • Simple and easy to use
Cons
  • Lacks advanced features such as GPS connectivity

Unreliable and inaccurate.

Most of the time the arrow is pointing in the wrong direction and the range can be off by 30 meters (good luck finding a car in a big/full lot). I understand that it should indicate the direction "in a straight line", ie. in a straight line, however there were times when I was in an open field and could visually see my waypoint and the needle went 90 degrees the wrong way. I've used this item many times while hiking and it's always hit or miss, sometimes the arrow points in the right direction,

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

The GPS function works great. This is the second one I've had after using the old model for about 7 years. The GPS function is simple, but brings you back to the trailhead or camp very reliably. However, the compass function just sucks (which isn't related to the GPS function - I think it has sort of a normal magnetic compass in addition to the GPS, which translates to the LED screen as a typical compass function). In many ways it would be better not to even include it in the device because it…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Very expensive
