🏌️ Bushnell V5 Golf Tour Rangefinder Review

I've tried different brands over the years and Bushnell seems to be the most reliable, both in terms of accuracy and functionality. This is my second Bushnell and I only updated because I lost my old one. I was also afraid to use the magnet, so I went through a few bumps on the track, and the viewfinder never moved off the cart post.

This rangefinder is terrible. There are multiple readings for the same distance. If you measure it 5 times you will get 5 different distances. This is after you've actually locked it onto the pin. Eye relief for optics is also terrible. If you don't have a perfect line with your eye, black shadows will creep all over the image. I've always had Bushnell range finders. Avid golfer but this one is terrible. Do not buy.

Used 5 times. Works in 96% of cases. There were times when I was at the 100 yard mark and he grabbed something behind the flag at 200 yards. Obvious bug, but annoying. Would recommend anyway. The slip calculation is accurate and probably reduced my game by an average of 2-3 shots on my course. The magnet is very strong, I don't even think it will fall. I don't recommend you buy it used because you never know what you're getting (I learned the hard way). This was my second purchase and it worked flawlessly until the lens became blurry and the readings became dim. Not sure what caused it. I tried changing the battery but it didn't help. I have contacted Bushnell several times, but each time I was more than 30 minutes late and could not get support. I tried the call back feature but they never contacted me. So there is only one option - back.

I've only been using it for a few months and there are small black dots in the viewfinder. Looks like spots on the focusing lens, but that's a guess. I spoke to several other people with the exact same range finder and they had this problem as well. I would say my rangefinder has been exposed to some moisture but has not been exposed to rain or submerged in water. I know that from others I've talked to. Although this item is a bit pricey, it's a BEAST! Once you line up your aim and press the button, you have a yard! I mean. LESS THAN A SECOND! I had an older version (about 4 years old) and never responded so quickly! The magnet on the side hasn't let me down either, especially on some of the more bumpy kart tracks and bumps on fairways/roughs. It never fell off (and I've already played about 25 rounds with it)!
