Don't do it best in track lighting

Just received them. I've been working for over 2 hours to connect only 2 connectors correctly. Worst plugs I have ever used.

The plugs were 5050 but the set included cable 3528

The plugs were 5050 (5mm) but the set included cable 3528 (3.5mm). I had to strip and pinch the wire to make it work. Eventually I'll have to climb onto the roof of my RV and run the right wire, but for now let's hope the connections will hold.

They work but are difficult to use.

I liked the concept of these connectors because you didn't have to solder the LED to the wires. It looks like the connectors have some issues as not all LEDs worked properly after plugging in. I had to go back and make sure they were properly connected. A better idea of how to connect and seal the connectors to ensure a good connection would be ideal. I ended up using channel locking pliers and a cloth to make sure they were connected and not broken.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • ---

The wired side of the connector is working. HOWEVER, the LED strip side does not work. The picture is deceptive. I've been working a lot to see if it can pierce the LED strip or if it can go under the sharp connectors BUT it's not possible. This can only work by turning the LED strip upside down so the copper side touches the sharp ends but comes out easily and is not held in the socket. So useless!

Pros
  • One year trial period

Fits perfectly with waterproof LED rubber case

Everything works as it should. Just take your time and make sure you have good lighting. Be sure to open the cover on the side of the light strip 90 degrees before inserting the light strip. Also remove the tape from the back of the light strip. I forgot a connection but it still worked. On the wire side, make sure the wires are properly routed into the brass grooves before splicing them together. I had a wire that didn't light up and this resulted in one color not lighting up. Through the cap…

Works great with waterproof LED strips

Not sure why they have so many bad reviews. Did they work great for me on the first try? You don't have to strip wires to connect them. I just removed about 1/4" of the protective tape from my LED strips and FULLY inserted them into the connectors. Make sure the black wire matches your LED strip's power wire. All 4 wires about 1" down and then align them with the inner pins and grooves and snap them in. Make sure the wires line up with the inner pins.I think the problem is that people don't put

Plugs just don't work

As with other reviews, I spent hours trying to get a working bar to connect to the cable, following the instructions to the letter and watching various videos. Once I managed to get an intermittent red light for a while. The connections were clearly unreliable, as slight wire movement could cause the connection to fail. You really only have one try as the connectors are not designed to be reopened and can fail under duress. Similar problem with 5050 ribbon: copper connectors break when the…
