I bought two of these because I often swap my peripherals between two computers (several times a day). I have a USB hub that I connect all my peripherals to. When I switch computers, I unplug the USB hub and plug it into another computer. I use one of these on each computer and connect the USB hub to it instead of directly to the computer. I have an Nvidia Shield set-top box. The board scolded me. I hate that it doesn't have physical buttons and the internal battery isn't easy to replace, so I ordered a new Android USB remote. The remote comes with a small dongle that plugs into a USB port but requires line of sight. The NVIDIA graphics card is tucked away on the back of the TV cabinet and the USB ports are on the back, so I used this cable to wrap it around the back and face the front of the box. Now my new remote works great!

This extension is exactly what I was looking for! To avoid wearing out my sewing machine's USB port, this is great. It stays connected and when I remove and replace my drives I don't stress my machine. It works great and the short length doesn't bother me. The price is great too!

Exactly what the doctor ordered. Use this extension cable to connect a memory card with old CD music to my car. Honda recommends using an extension cord rather than plugging the memory card directly into a car outlet. Worked great and the Transiberian Orchestra "blew up" all the holidays.

C2G USB 2.0 Male Female was exactly what the doctor ordered. The cable is for my Mazda CX5 which has a USB port in the center console and plugging in a USB flash drive can damage the port if you are not careful when removing things from the center console. Using a 6-inch cable protects the port from abuse, and the USB stick now hangs in a more secure place. It's expensive for what the cable does, but it's very well made. So I don't mind the cost. I've been using the embroidery unit on my Bernina sewing machine a lot lately. I transfer designs from the computer to the machine using a flash drive. Decided that going this route would save a USB port on my sewing machine. I leave the extension in the machine's port and take the flash drive back and forth to my computer. Definitely saves wear and tear on my machine. The theme loads quickly, so the transfer speed of the extension is very good.

The cable works but the plug fits very badly into standard PC USB ports. It can be pulled out too easily by simply wiggling the cable a bit or if your connected device is bumped. When measured with calipers, the vertical dimension is slightly below specification, and the inner plastic shell that the electrical contacts sit on is also slightly shorter.
