🍓 Raspberry Pi Zero W Wood Case with Heatsink - C4Labs Zebra Zero Case Review

Was hesitant due to reviews saying the radiator opening was misaligned. If you read the details it says the kit now comes with 2 cases: 1 for the original Zero and 1 for the Zero W. These reviews were probably for the original versions of this set and the issue is now resolved. In any case. . love this shop. Like the price.

Nice little case. I build Pi-Zero computers as low-tech, low-cost, basic word processors for some of my tech-scared friends who would prefer typewriters. This event and one other are my "go" cases for her. They look good and the heatsink works well.

Unfortunately, this beautiful case doesn't fit the Zero W very well. It's not unfit, but it's not great either. The SD card doesn't match the security cutouts on the side, and the hole for the CPU heatsink doesn't match where it's on the W either. Thanks to the washers, the camera adapter does not pose any assembly problems. so it still fits W, just a little off.

This pretty and convenient case makes my Rasp Pi Zero W look like a table decoration while still providing ample access to the ports. Contacted customer service with a question and was very impressed with their advice and attitude.

It looks great and fits like a glove, but the Phillips screws end up at the bottom and can easily scratch soft surfaces like wood and plastic. There's a chance the heads could be cast smoother or replaced entirely with other bolts. However, they cannot be reversed as the hole diameter for the top acrylic plate is larger to fit the nuts.

EDIT: The plastic is see through! All you have to do is remove some of the protective paper film from the plastic components. Looks the same as in the picture. Neat landing. Robust construction. The screws are very tight on the motherboard but work and hold it in place. Looks good if you don't need GPIO access. I just picked up a Zebra Plus with a breadboard when my second PiZero arrived.

Looks great! Their website had building instructions and they were easy to find! Standoffs allow camera ports and connectors to be used on Zero v1.3. Overall I am very happy with the case! I wish it was clearer on the Amazon storefront that there are 2 options, one for GPIO and one not, but oh well. Looks great, fits well, the price is right, I'm satisfied! I'm actually glad you chose good hardware that also can't be sloppily customized.

Such an amazing case, this review is a edit of a full size RPi3 case of the same model. I cannot stress enough, these are quality cases that are very aesthetic. I guarantee you won't be disappointed; The pictures aren't that fair. Better than in the photos! You get a high-quality, well-made case. It assembles like Lego and the picture will help. When assembled, it looks more like a work of art than a computer case. I'm really looking forward to following this company and see what they come up…
