I bought these gloves for my 5 year old son and he thinks they are a bit big. His fingers don't quite fit inside the glove, but they're warm and insulated enough. Inside (and through the fingers) fleece material. Since all of our little snow we've had so far has melted I was curious to see if they are waterproof as they claim and they are. Size 4/7 is a little big for a 5 year old wearing a size 6 or S for boys. There is enough extra material at the fingertips that you can pinch your fingertip with extra finger length material at the end, but they fit well enough to wear out of the box. I got it for a 7 year old boy. They fit his arms and have room to grow which is good for me but I was a little surprised as I thought he would be at the top of this size class. I think they are a bit big? The strap is fairly tight to keep snow out, which is good, but it doesn't stretch so we had to adjust it to put it on and then tighten it once it was on.
