🚗 Enhance Engine Performance with FRAM Extra Guard Air Filter, CA11114 for Ford and Lincoln Vehicles Review

This Fram air filter is perfect for my 2015 Focus SE 2.0. The whole project took 5 minutes including finding the right wrench. The filter seems to be a better design than the OEM filter I replaced so this will be my choice going forward.

Fram says this is the correct filter for 2015 Ford Escape (CA11114). However, it didn't fit in the filter housing - it was too long. When I compared it to the Motorcraft OEM it was about 1/8 inch longer. Due to this excess length, it does not fit into the slots in the filter housing.

As per other reviews, this filter does not fit the case. It was too long and it was not possible to put the case cover back on. I followed the advice someone suggested and scored the inside of the black inner case which allowed me to squeeze it just enough to fit in there. I will not buy again

This is supposed to be the correct filter for a 2013 Ford Escape 2.0 engine. Looks identical until you realize it's about 1/8 inch longer. By inserting it into the lower half of the housing, the housing is deformed so much that it is not possible to reinsert the upper half of the housing. I would have sent it back if I hadn't waited. more than 30 days to try to install it.
