Great little gadget

These things can get lost so easily. and phone manufacturers tend to overprice. I liked this product so much that I ordered a second one. Compared to what came with the phone, the build and quality is clearly superior, and the sound quality is equal or excellent. I rarely write reviews, but this one deserves it. You will not be disappointed.

Great little gadget

Works well, durable.

This is a basic connector but it can be twisted a little and won't break. The connector in my laptop is also solid. I prefer a Bluetooth device when I'm working, but when I'm in bed with my loved ones I wear the headset late at night and this jack makes it possible with a quality connection. Worth the modest price.

Had to return this. Every time I plugged in this adapter or restarted my computer (Windows 10 laptop), the volume jumped to 100% and my eardrums burst (not quite literally). Contacted Cable Matters, they said the adapter is defective and needs to be returned. I didn't want another device of the same kind not to have the same problems, so I ordered a different adapter from a different manufacturer and it worked great.

Hardware compatibility varies

This adapter is a very solid accessory for your portless headphone gear. I've tested the adapter on various devices I own, from the Pixel 3 to the iPad Pro (2018), and so far the devices have recognized it as the headphone jack. In some cases it took a while for the device to recognize the adapter. The iPad Pro I tested on took a minute or two to switch to connected headphones, while my Pixel 3 worked right away.
