problems. in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Had to return this. Every time I plugged in this adapter or restarted my computer (Windows 10 laptop), the volume jumped to 100% and my eardrums burst (not quite literally). Contacted Cable Matters, they said the adapter is defective and needs to be returned. I didn't want another device of the same kind not to have the same problems, so I ordered a different adapter from a different manufacturer and it worked great.
