Works As Expected - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Based on my first use of this item I am giving it a 5 star rating. I bought this adapter to use with a 45w PD charger and a USB-C charging cable. I checked the current with my Klein tester and it showed a throughput of just under 20V with a Toshiba laptop. That's exactly what Toshiba demands in terms of tension. The amperage was very low as the laptop was almost fully charged. I will provide an update in the future after heavier use.

Not suitable for charging laptops

Not suitable for Motile 142 and probably not suitable for other laptops. I noticed that the laptop charges very slowly and starts draining after 30 minutes. So I used a USB-C tester to figure out the issues. When the battery is low, it jumps between low and high amps, causing the laptop to stop and continue charging over and over again. This will destroy the battery. Eventually every PD charger I've tried will attempt to rework the PD, except this cable is not reworked. This means it will drop…

Works with Motile 141

I was looking for an extra charger for my Motile 141, can confirm it works with Aukey USB-C laptop charger. A great solution when you don't need to assemble a standard charger hoping it will never fail.

Pros
  • Use with a 65W or 87W Type-C charger to conveniently charge a 5.5mm DC 18-20V laptop from a wall outlet.

Charges the Venue Pro 11 with 23W

I'm happy to report that I tested it on my Dell Venue Pro 11 with a USB-C wall charger and it shows a 23W charger and not the usual 5V unless , a Dell OEM was used. I will probably turn this tablet into a portable emulator.
