Cambro SFC12453 CamSquares Containers Polyethylene Review

Not happy with this lid, it doesn't fit at all, I thought it was 'sealed' to the container but it isn't, wish they were in the kit which is the container what I wanted but I had to order the lid separately which got me confused which is which which is which 🤷‍♀️🤔

Hooray! I finally found a lid for my 12 liter Camwear bin. I tried twice but never understood that there is a slight difference between the lids for containers from different manufacturers. This blue is perfect for Camwear. I use this sous vide cooking container and needed a good lid to keep the water from evaporating while cooking. I cut a small hole for the sous vide cooker. Ideal!

The last lid I bought for the Cambro jar was extremely difficult to install and never closed properly as the corners never fully closed. This is pretty loose and doesn't usually seal well. I drilled a hole in the lid of the first fermenter and bought it as a replacement without a hole. I have other round Cambro containers with tight-fitting lids. Square container lids seem to be a work in progress and you never know which one will fit.

(assuming this particular type is the next size up than 18 qt). I don't know why so many other reviews say the lid doesn't fit. If you want to store liquid in a container, you must keep the container upright to prevent leakage. The lid does not let air/liquid through. I would not lay the container on its side to store liquid or dry food as the weight of the contents could depress the lid and cause a mess. This lid is perfect for a 12 quart food storage container! I recently started brewing my own iced coffee at home because paying insane prices at Starbucks was starting to eat into our monthly budget. I spent a few bucks to buy a container, this lid, and some cheesecloth and suddenly I'm making 2 gallons of iced coffee with no problems and for MUCH less than anywhere else! Perfect for my 12 liter Camwear reservoir (clear). I cut a hole in one of the corners of the lid to fit the Anova sous vide device. It was very easy to do with a knife and scissors. The lid I received is blue as pictured, not purple as others seem to have received. Also of note is the fact that the sticker peels off easily and completely by simply putting your fingernail under it and then slowly removing the sticker.
