Not as good as we would like. suitable for kitchen

am not yet sure if this works because it should automatically switch to a full tank. It seems like both of my reservoirs are being emptied at the same time. This creates an annoying whistling sound. Stove and hot water burn together. There was also an ugly leak in one of the brass fittings that were installed at the factory. After removing and applying the putty, the leak stopped.

Good regulator - don't worry about the gas pressure

I use this regulator to supply two 30 gallons. Propane tanks for two of my propane logs. The one that leads to the kitchen is only about 5 feet long and the one in the living room is a little over 30 feet of 1/2 inch diameter copper tubing that runs underground. This regulator has enough gas pressure to power both. It's set to use only one tank at a time to power both fireplaces, then automatically switches over when the first tank runs out.

Pros
  • GOLS certified

  • Unusable features

I'm a Camco fan, but this is rubbish.

I'm usually a Camco fan, but that's nonsense, a waste of the purchase price. i had two The first worked for a couple of rides and then just stopped working so I bought a replacement (same product again), plugged it in and it worked fine. On the next ride I turned on the gas but nothing happened so I went to soap the fittings and a hose came loose in my hand. It turned out that the hose had not been lost. the metal to which the hose was attached fell loose in my hand. Metal fatigue from justโ€ฆ

Very short lifespan: Interior

After 3 months the bypass valve and gauge stopped working properly. I've had a lot of these regulators (currently I use 4) and this design seems to be the worst - moisture accumulated in the window (red/green tells you the primary tank is empty) and it stopped working shortly after I did found that both tanks were being emptied at the same time (the weight was measured on both) so that they were no longer serving their purpose. Replaced with another brand that I use elsewhere and never had aโ€ฆ

Not very happy with it

This is one of the rare times I've not been completely happy with an order from Revain. I just installed it, so I don't know if autocorrect is working as intended. The time will show. The handset works properly and the red/green indicator works. Cons 1 - One of the inlet fittings was not tightened properly and was leaking. ALWAYS test with soapy water. This one surprised me. 2 - No bracket was included. Okay, but this regulator has a 15/16 bolt hole spacing. The bracket I got from my old ESCโ€ฆ

Failed after a little over a year

14 months after I bought this unit, it no longer maintained a constant output pressure even though both reservoirs were full. this. You turn on the propane stove and the flame drops to almost zero after a normal start with a big flame. My instantaneous water heater keeps getting the message "Flame off". Of course the one year warranty expired three months ago so I had no luck getting a replacement from Camco: (Note that it worked great initially and was easy to swap between tanks. Updateโ€ฆ

Old pulled out and used!

I changed this one because I changed the old hoses and thought I could change the old weathered regulator too! I upgraded my stove and fixed my water heater so I had to mourn and troubleshoot a bit to make sure that was the problem! First, the flame on my new stove seemed to be low, sometimes rising, then falling, then going out. At other times it would have worked fine. Sometimes my oven worked fine, other times it took forever or started turning on and off. Sometimes I found that my waterโ€ฆ

Dealer Recommended

I recently purchased a Forest River Flagstaff tractor and needed to replace a faulty Cavagna propane regulator with a dealer recommended Camco 59005. The Camco looks and feels a lot more reliable than the Cavagna and has performed well so far. My only issue with Camco is similar to many other reviewers; No matching bracket is supplied, although they do include two screws, a template and instructions on how to re-drill and use the existing bracket, in my case a Cavagna bracket if the holes don't
