Fur. I wasn't impressed.

This angle is used to access a plug that may be behind the gas line (at least in my case). But the angle is still not quite right and a standard wrench works better. I would return it, but I used one of the stubs, so I guess I'll keep it for myself (or donate it to good faith). If the thickness of the metal in each hex hole was greater this might work better, but as a built in tool it's not as useful a tool - a standard adjustable wrench is better.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • old

Great quality but not compatible with my camper

I don't know how to rate this item. In terms of product quality, durability and value I would say this is a 5 star product. My problem is usage. It is possible that different motorhome models are constructed differently than mine, making the product practically useless to me. It is angled to bypass the small pipes that are in front of the water heater plug. However, this tool does not work with my RV design. It looks like only a deep well jack will work with my setup.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • High price

Suitable for plumbing work

This wrench works well with my 6 gallon Atwood electric/gas water heater in my Grand Design Imagine camper. Much better than a wrench. Not as easy as plugging into an outlet with an extension cord. But it definitely does its job. It takes about 5-6 repeated grips to loosen the connector as the limited space only allows about 1/6 turn at a time. The standard plug had a 15/16" hex head. / 8" hex head. The key works with both sizes. I think the standard plug will last long before replacement plugs

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can't remember

Beware of cheap replacements

After the plug on my original RV water heater needed replacing, I thought a CAMCO product would be a great fit. Did about 9 months. I connected to the water supply (at atmospheric pressure) at the campsite and noticed water dripping from the water heater lid. I open the door and tiny drops of water come out of the head of my CAMCO cork. I saved my old cork and compared it to a CAMCO cork that was MUCH THINNER than the original. This part is cheap compared to most van parts so don't skimp onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Don't worry, these plugs are very weak, cracked and leaking.

. Every one of these plugs I've installed have expired in a year or less. One of them didn't even last three days when hot water poured out. Kamko should be ashamed to sell this stuff. Typically, the split between the threads occurs just below the hex head of this plug. The material can be either polyethylene or nylon (polyamide). This stopper is very weak because the material is inherently weak, especially for hot water, and some common man decided to save two cents of resin and make theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . Beautiful packaging.
Cons
  • . Doubtful.

A complete waste of money and the worst tool I have ever bought.

Probably the most useless tool I've ever bought! I assumed it would fit a Camco water heater drain kit, but the large (15/16") outlet was too small to fit the large plug on my water heater, and a 7/8" - Wrench fitted the drain valve plug. but it was impossible to open the release valve tabs, which you twist to open the valve. Thus, it was impossible to use the head of the plug to unscrew it. Even if one of the outlets worked, the key wouldn't work on my Suburban water heater because thereโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works with a Dometic/Atwood RV water heater

My caravan, a Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS, came with a Dometic/Atwood water heater. The design of the water heater is really inconvenient in that at the end of the season it is very difficult to access the drain plug to remove water from the tank. The 15/16" drain plug will be blocked by other associated hardware, preventing traditional wrenches from accessing the bolt. Even with this wrench, it was difficult to turn the screw at first. The angled design allowed me to reach the screw, butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • No automatic
