Perfect for summer trips

I had a little trouble getting the lid on properly at first (and water ran down my back). But it was user error. I quickly learned how to seal the tank properly. It holds more water and less gear than my other camel, which is exactly what I need for hot-weather Arizona cycling.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Almost never

Very happy with my purchase

The rubber keeps coming off the cover and I have to fix it which takes a long time to close. In addition, the adjustment clips come loose easily and can be lost through carelessness. But once you've closed it and made sure the lid is all the way down, this camel bug won't leak and is very comfortable to wear.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unsafe

Decent water pack - cross thread cap = leaks

Decent water pack for cycling. Pros: Snorkel valve and mouthpiece volume size Cons: Snorkel cannot be easily inserted with one hand. - Threads that leak easily Storage pouch was smaller than expected Doesn't fit my Galaxy S8 with Otterbox Neutral: Aero (after sagging)

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Goes very well with hydration packs

Perfect size and holds enough water for my cross country tours. Fill it completely with ice and it will keep it cold all the time. Even after my trip, there was still a fair amount of ice in my bladder. I've noticed that some people say the bladder is leaking and the lid doesn't fit. This has only happened to me twice. Filled it up and turned it over to see if the cap was leaking. And when that's the case, I just unscrew the cap, put it back on and make sure it's tightly closed, no leaks.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Modern

Do not buy! Broken Bubbles. DoA

The packaging itself is fine. Lightweight and exactly as advertised. The problem is in the bladder. When tightly closed, it allows plenty of water to pass through the fill hole. I trusted the camel's name and bought it without reading the reviews. Oops. Too bad I will never trust this brand again. There are many other good options for balloons and hiking backpacks. The problem seems to be the hard plastic used for the screw cap. I'm not sure if this is an R&D or manufacturing issue. Stay away…

Chemical water taste

It has a strange, very strong chemical taste that doesn't seem to wash out. Maybe it's the Biocat coating they use, or just some kind of plastic, but it makes all water taste like plastic chemicals. Not sure why you need a special coating when you're only going to be pouring tap water. For the design, the shoulder straps are very thin and not padded, I find them uncomfortable. As if I expected more from the name of the brand. If you have relatively broad shoulders, the backpack is not very…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I would like to give this product ZERO stars. I received this product on July 7th. On July 14th I decided to use this product for the first time. I filled up, and no matter how loosely or tightly I screwed on the large cap, the tank flows through the filler hole like a strainer. You'd think that a $60 hydration pack would actually withstand water. There is no such happiness. Died before use. Very disappointed with the first experience with such a product. Absolutely ridiculous. Judging by the…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems

Tank cap threading - big problem

After using the new unit for the third time I had 2 big problems, both related to the tank cap. From my first use, refilling the cap was an issue, and after my third trail run (opening the tank halfway to pour water into my dog's bowl) I was unable to refill the cap. The second issue is that the cap is loosely attached to the plastic ring - so loose that the cap falls off when you remove it - a real problem on the trails as precious water has to be used to clean the cap after it hits the ground

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Upgradable
