I don't like plastic bottles but my son often loses water bottles. It was on sale so it was worth checking out. I've had great luck with Camelbak products and their drinking chambers and insulated stainless steel bottles really are the best! This product is so-so. It smelled like plastic until my son washed it in very hot water about 5 times, the lid falls apart if dropped and it's not 100% airtight. My son still uses the bottle every day. Excellent product! My only problem was drinking from it. They don't make it obvious but you have to bite off the top to drink. This makes sense for small children, but for adults it can be very annoying to have to bite when drinking. If you look at my photo I found a way to fix it! I have been using Eddy's bottles for many years despite several design changes. This is by far the prettiest and doesn't seem to leak at all. This bottle is much, much worse than the previous Eddie model. The bite valve is on a loop that inserts into a groove on the cap, ostensibly to protect the valve and seal the bottle.
