Poor quality compared to older versions, leaks

The new version of the scammer is disappointing. The bite valve is constantly leaking. The reservoir lid needs to be tightened precisely and very firmly or it will leak too (another reviewer commented on how difficult it is to align the lid). The padding on the straps is lighter, making them less comfortable. It seems that they are sharply cutting costs at the expense of quality. I recommend buying the old version while it's still available.

Great for festivals

I got this before EDC 2018. The EDC takes place in the Nevada desert. This is a 3 day EDM festival with 12+ hour days. Given the size, location and level of activity of the festival, staying hydrated is crucial. It turned out to be a good size for now - not too small that I had to queue for refills too often and not so big that it was unwieldy. It's also designed to sit securely without bindings. So you can dance for 12 hours and not realize that you are carrying a large piece of water on your…

1 year ownership check

After countless falls, trips and scrapes I'm happy to report that this Camelbak HEAVY is MTB legal. I've soaked it in mud, ridden it, even left it in the sun and it still looks brand new! I mountain bike about 3 times a week. bags! i love bags I keep my keys, phone, and wallet in my camelbak, and despite being tortured, I put this thing through my stuff, which is usually very dry (unless you're going to bike into the lake). I drink a lot of water when I ride my bike and rarely drink. every 85…

Good storage, strong. Lid still doesn't close properly

Good storage pockets, breathable straps, comfortable chest strap. long thin bladder) from a friend who worked for the company. Over the next 30 years I had at least half a dozen different models and a few unbranded models. I have NEVER had a lid that closes absolutely evenly and without much fuss. By seal I mean you can turn your bladder upside down and shake it and it won't leak. One would think that maybe after so many years some engineer would have solved it. no On this model and some other…

Good but not great.

This is my fourth camelbak wet pack. I liked my other three for mountain biking, they were MULE sizes 3L. The first was replaced with a Camelbak under warranty and the second broke in an accident. I still have a MULE backpack for mountain biking, but I also need a smaller backpack for gravel trips. The 3L tank is too big and bulky, plus I need access to jersey pockets which MULE doesn't allow. The Rogue fits great on the back, gives access to jersey pockets, has extra storage compartments and…

MOUNTAIN BIKES: DO NOT BUY THIS SET

I bought this set about a week ago. The reason I picked this backpack is because it looked like a nice, minimalist solution for riding our local trails in Houston, Texas, which in the summer are all XC trails that are strenuous. From the packaging, this backpack looks solid and well made, although it's a bit smaller than I expected. It's very easy to cut the threads in the Crux tank, which can cause leaks; But after a few tries I got it right. The bite valve feels comfortable and the locking…

One Year with Rogue

I live in North Carolina and have thousands of miles of mountain bike trails across the state, and the one thing I never want to be without is water. When I first started riding I tried to take a bottle of water with me, but on a hot summer day I drank it all in under an hour. Cutting a trip short because you ran out of water was never fun, and I felt like it was time to get serious and invest in a hydration pack. CamelBak is a brand that has been around since 1988 and is known for making…

Decent combination of size, price, pockets and flaws

Pros: Great price, size and volume for cycling with a very good combination of thin/light/minimal size and pocket capacity for phone, card, card, cash. keys and several tools. An additional extended pocket between the front pocket and the body of the main backpack offers enough space for a light underlayer, gloves, etc. The water volume is enough for a 2-hour ride, depending on the climate and sweat level. The fabric, mesh back and shoulder straps are very comfortable to wear, especially in icy
