Poor quality, best on interior

These parts were warped, poor molding. Throw lines, gas, warped, mismatched color - the molder of these parts didn't care. The screws that came with it were silver and didn't fit snugly in the latch. I know almost every aspect of the plastics industry - I have worked in it for 40 years, including over 15 years as a quality manager. I would NEVER allow such goods to be sold. I installed the latch, don't expect it to last long. The screws that come with the snaps are smaller, I used old screws…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Security

Doesn't suit my needs, latch too long

So I ordered a pair of these for my caravan for work and play. I was glad they are made of good thick plastic but they don't hold the door open even in a light breeze. The trap rises and the door opens while the front door closes. It's over a half foot from where it snaps to the outside wall of the trailer where my other grip was about 4 inches so I can see why a slight breeze can get trapped between the door and the trailer wall. The fittings appear to be high quality, they just didn't fit me.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Exact replacement for our Keystone Cougar 293SAB 2011

The quality of the materials used easily meets (or exceeds) the quality of the original part. Yes, all parts except the screws are plastic and yes, they will wear out over time and eventually need to be replaced just like the original parts. For the price (for two) we don't see that as a problem though. Since the OEM parts lasted almost seven years, we expect these fasteners to last at least as long as the OEM fasteners.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Empty

They are worse than the one that broke and that I was trying to replace.

Absolutely not recommended. They are cheap and too flexible to keep the door open in any wind. I bought the 6" version. I thought my old one that broke was too cheap, but apparently they found a way to make it even cheaper. It's 10 cent junk plastic and the wrong kind of screws which should not be used. Outdoors they only work at right angles to each other too. So if you have a partially open door the joints have to be set at an angle and you can't easily slide the latch in. And why do so many…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • High price

Build quality, except for the screws.

I would give it five stars except the bolts were too long and for some unknown reason at a certain depth one of the heads on the side of the trailer came loose. I suggest using better quality bolts and shorter ones, but then again every trailer is probably built differently. Use this to keep your trailer door fully open. If you're in a windy area, this should work better than the 90-degree type that frequently cuts out and lets the door slam. Plan your work ahead and you should have no trouble…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
