Tried different brands of V-mount batteries, same result. There are several other brands and they work perfectly. So buyers beware.

Works the way I want a v-lock plate in this price range with this performance. Yes, the locking mechanism is a little tight and not as easy as a native plate, but at one point I simultaneously charged an Atomos Shogun Inferno, a Teradek Bolt Sidekick, and an iPhone with it for 5 days of production and worked flawlessly. !

This product is ideal for powering other devices with optional V-Lock batteries. However, the photos do not show the back of this Mauerlat and that is a problem. There is no easy way to attach a cheese board to the back of this item. Due to an omission, the images suggest that a cheese board could be attached to the Mauerlat, which is not the case. Worst of all, there are no screw holes on the cheese board, which is sold separately.

I tried using this with a Comer D&O Lighting 95Wh battery. The battery connects to the tablet fairly well, but you have to apply quite a bit of pressure to engage the contacts and use the tablet's power options.
