Doesn't work with Mac

The reason I give Canon 1 star is that despite claims that their scanners work with Macs, they don't do enough to support Macs well. I had another Canon scanner that I liked but it stopped working with newer Macs so I decided to switch to this one but it still doesn't work properly. Disappointed in Canon.

Scan quality and speed are good, but the wireless connection is not what I expected

Scans quickly and does good quality scans, but I needed a scanner that could connect to more than one computer, so I ordered a wireless scanner. After ordering this scanner, I found the following. The scanner cannot be connected via USB and wireless at the same time. That is, Computer 1 cannot connect via USB, but Computer 2 connects wirelessly. Even if Computer 1 is connected to the scanner over a wireless network, Computer 2 cannot use the wireless connection until Computer 1 is turned off. I

Wi-Fi not worth the extra cost

Scanner works great . I've had a few minor feeding issues, but nothing catastrophic so far. Wi-Fi works at best 75% of the time, so that's all I ever connected to. the app always wants to run in the background and downloads every boot process completely onto the PC, which I don't like at all, since I only use the scanner about 1 day a week, and then only about half an hour. Otherwise it works as it should, the software is simple and integrates well.

Works great over USB with Mac Catalina, but not over Wi-Fi

Catalina OS requires you to download the latest Mac software and drivers from Canon. Scanning documents via USB is fast and clean. So far the WiFi hasn't worked at all, despite reinstalling drivers, a long phone call to a patient Canon representative, and many tries. The scanner is connected to my Wi-Fi network but encountered a driver error. Until this is fixed I cannot recommend this good device for use over Wi-Fi with a Mac. For USB use, purchase a cheaper USB version of the same scanner.

Doesn't register receipts as a group

This unit installed fairly easily onto my Windows 10 desktop on February 15, 2021 via the included CD disc. I couldn't download the software from their support site, but the CD was fine. I set it up to work with a direct connection via the included USB 2 cable since I use a desktop computer most of the time. I'm not sure if I want to set it up on a wireless access point as I don't see how to do both at the same time. One reviewer said you can't do both. Once installed, the software is easy toโ€ฆ
