Canon PowerShot SX610 HS Enabled Review

Today I bought an sx 230 to replace it, I expected that I would shoot better videos, after the purchase I was very disappointed, the video quality is slightly worse than in the sx 230, the sound is much worse. I'm disappointed that this model doesn't make better videos. Got pros: The photo quality is better than in the sx230 and the zoom is larger. Cons below: The video quality is like in the sx 230 model or even worse, the sound is worse than in the sx 230 model.

This camera is fantastic. Takes great pictures even in low light. You can download an app to take a photo by pressing a button on your phone and even see what your camera sees on your iPhone. Absolutely awesome!

Nice photos, too many functions, great video. The interface isn't intuitive, but if you read the instructions, you'll be able to figure everything out. Key labels are weird. I tried the Wi-Fi download feature but it seemed cumbersome and slow. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't come with a download cable, but with a bit of effort I found one at Staples; I needed a mini USB cable on one end and a regular USB cable on the other.

This was a GREAT camera for my daughter! She took it with her on her missionary journey and everyone she serves wants copies of HER photos because they are the best! We almost doubled the price for another camera but she loved it and I'm so glad I saved the money! We didn't understand how to work with Wi-Fi, upload photos to the cloud or email, since it's not always in a Wi-Fi zone. I hope that we can start this soon. Thank you for a great camera, Canon!

I liked the ease of shooting video with this camera. I was looking for a digital camera that I could use while on horseback and walking the trails. This one does well, but not great. I take 200-300 shots per ride to avoid shaky shots. I would like better image stabilization. I haven't found anything better than my old Fujifilm S700 that died. Even Fuji cameras can't shoot on the go as well as this old camera :( So if you can still focus and shoot then this camera will probably be very good…
