Very happy with this kit and camera! I bought it for my business and for taking pictures of my kids. I've wanted a quality camera for a long time. I'm not disappointed. I suggest reading how to use it. I was able to launch it and start using it right away, but to get the most out of it you have to learn a few things about DSLRs. They do some pretty amazing things.

When I looked at the product description I thought it was too good to be true. It was. All lenses are blue-shifted. Using a tripod set up in the yard, I took comparable shots with Canon lenses and my NIKKOR 70-300. Both Canon lenses had color shift (magenta) and were much blurrier than Canon lenses. NIKKOR. And NIKKOR is an average quality lens. The Vivitar lens had the same problem, although not as severe.

Given as a gift, she seems to like it very much. I was shooting on the street and I liked the quality and the ability to take "blurred" photos. Inside, you might need to look at some settings to get the best quality. Checked a retail store and got a much better deal by ordering online with the box set. Overall it seems to be a good camera that I don't regret buying. I use a lot more. He gave up some features and is still figuring out some of them. Takes very nice photos.

The supplied flash does not work with this or any other Canon camera. Canon says this was intentional to encourage buyers to buy a Canon flash. Canon also said that anyone selling this product should be aware that an external flash will not work with this camera. Aside from a great camera body and two good Canon lenses, the rest of the "kit" is of poor quality. Packages are not as much as it seems at first glance. This is a way to get rid of a questionable product.

First of all I would like to say that I am an amateur photographer, not a professional. Buying this camera was just great. I bought this kit and it really had everything except a tripod which I bought after the fact. The camera is very easy to use and with multiple shooting methods, both manual and pre-programmed, you can shoot on purpose or take really great photos. I've been using it for more than a month, there are no cons. If you are in the market I would consider this camera pack.
