Using this stove to heat water was much faster than trying to build a legit fire. This product was most useful when I was not making a camp fire. I created little smoke once the fuel reached a sufficient temperature. The amount of light emitted was minimal compared to a camp fire. Add in fuel well before you feel you need to add more fuel. There were situations where I added fuel too late, and there was not enough heat to ignite the new fuel. This wasted fuel, ignition material, and time.I took

Buy it! Use it! Love it!

All I can say is wow! Going in to the purchase I was a little skeptical on the quality and how well this wood burning stove would work. I had seen several other similar stoves that worked fine but found very little info on this "brand". After watching several videos I soon realized that this stove is made in China and rebranded to many different companies and is ultimately a knockoff of the silverfire scout which sells for considerably more. The quality of the product is surprisingly…

Cons
  • Leaves ash and debris in the surrounding area

So worth having in your backpack when camping or hiking!

I bought this to bring with me when I go camping. I have used it about 5 times so far since I have purchased it and I have to say that it is awesome! It is great that I do not have to buy fuel canisters any longer in order to heat up my water or food. The only downside to this is when it rains or has rained and the trees and ground get wet. Collecting small wet sticks will not work in the stove. NONETHELESS, I have found a solution! I went to Home Depot and bought a big bag of wood pellets…

Pros
  • It is durable and can withstand harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for all types of outdoor activities
Cons
  • May require additional tools or materials to start a fire if the wood is wet or damp

Great stove! best in my review

Very happy with this stove. Achieved gasification in 3 minutes. Boiled 4 cups of water (4,800 foot elevation) in just under 10 minutes. Of course this is not as fast as a gas stove, but that's not the point. I am now at peace knowing that I can cook all the extra stuff we come upon while camping/backpacking (fish, mint leaf tea, Brigham tea, kids endless supply of hot cocoa, melted starburst, etc.) without worrying about fuel loss.I knew ahead of time my plans would be blackened by this stove…

Pros
  • The stove is made from high-quality stainless steel and is windproof and anti-slip, making it a perfect choice for the outdoors
Cons
  • Not ideal for group cooking as it can only accommodate a small pot or pan

Excellent value for the cost

Seems to be a well built product the pot stand holds a pot fairly well. The base is pretty sturdy on it and doesn’t get as hot as the rest of the stove while it’s burning. Tried 2 different tests to see how long it would burn. One test I tried adding 2 cups of wood pellets to it. The wood pellets burned for about an hour and produced a nice strong flame and you could see the gasification happening for the burn. Using the pellets it was hardly any smoke at all while it was burning and produced a

Pros
  • Lights easily and has very good flame for the small amount of wood I put in the unit.
Cons
  • Takes a long time to heat up, making it inconvenient for quick meals

Canway Camping Stove!

Great camping stove and easy to use! I've had the best results using paper towels or napkins at the bottom and than taking a hatchet to a decent branch and getting good wood shavings from it. I have it stored away in the 1.1 liter MSR Alpine Stowaway Pot and it fits perfect with some extra room since I heard that its pretty tight with the 775 ml pot. I've been using it with my 14 cup Coletti Percolator thats around 64 oz and it takes right at about 20 minutes to start percolating. I've had this

Pros
  • Cool Stove for Heating up my Beanie-Weenies.
Cons
  • Bulky and heavy, making it difficult to carry around on long hikes

Great, well made little stove

I purchased the canway because it can be easily fed twigs and small pieces of wood. It is well made. Going ultra lite is not my deal but it weighs in at a little over a pound, I believe. However for camping in state parks it is great. How often do the fireplaces at a state site seen a better day. This offords my wife and I to cook and make our coffee. This is not a set and forget type of system as fuel will always be needed to be added. Making use of these camp stoves I believe are a nice…

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • It can be challenging to clean and prepare for use between trips

Crazy efficient, easy to use

Very simple design, even simpler to use. Boils covered water inside of 5 minutes, heats cast iron to searing capable temperatures. Perhaps one day they'll make movable vents to adjust the size of the flame, but for $20 shipped, this is the kind of device that should be going out in pallet loads for humanitarian aid missions. It isn't the smallest stove out there, but it's ungodly efficient for its size and weight.

Pros
  • You can easily cook a wide range of foods with this stove, making it perfect for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities
Cons
  • Limited cooking options; no grill or griddle attachments are available

As good as Solo Titan but $60 cheaper

I was truly surprised by the performance and quality of this stove.Things I like about this stove compared to the Solo Titan.1. Price.$60 bucks less2. 3 Piece design packs shorter.3. Burns just as good as the Solo4. The bottom holes are smaller and diamond shaped. The bottom is open and ashes fall to the ground. The bottom of the Solo is sealed and you have the turn over and shake the ashes out. (This could be better depending on your situation)5. Because of the smaller holes you can use wood…

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The lack of a consistent heat source can make cooking unevenly challenging

Decent stove, take care when using this.

Haven't been able to truly use this yet. However it's at home in my mountain cook set. One thing I will say however is the canway stoves pot supports are a little on the flimsier side. If your a tinkerer it wouldn't be hard to fab some heavier duty supports. Or you could just build one on your own with the one you have as a template. However it seems to be a decent stove. Will update when item has been tested.

Pros
  • It comes with a carrying bag, making it easy to pack the stove and take it with you wherever you go
Cons
  • Not a suitable replacement for a more traditional and reliable camp stove

Very Small! good for me

It is well designed to take a small place and after assembly, it gets tall and looks sturdy but the fact is the size which is good for a single person. I was thinking to buy it for days that we experience an electrical shortage to use but it is smaller than my palm hand! In the picture looks bigger with a pan on it but it is not. I can find it cheaper on ebay.

Pros
  • 🔥Environmentally Friendly: With no fuel canisters or alcohol needed, we’ll be leaving no chemical emissions behind. The camp stove use branches, leaves, woods as fuel which is easy to get anywhere.
Cons
  • Not recommended for use in dry areas or during droughts as it can lead to forest fires

Boils water quickly. Sturdy, and well designed.

This was the lowest cost camp stove of many that are very similar or identical. However, the stove is of good quality and assembles easily. Using twigs that have fallen out of my backyard trees and very little alcohol I was able to get the stove burning quickly. I don't think I needed the alcohol, but it made lighting easy. I had a small deep pan (about two cups of coffee size) of water boiling in about 2 minutes. The stove isn't smokeless, but does a pretty good job of keeping the smoke at a…

Pros
  • 🔥High Thermal Efficiency: The secondary combustion keeps camping wood stove burning continued for 20mins with dry firewood and wood chips.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in areas with fire restrictions or bans

Nice little stove, just what I was looking for

Update: I've used this stove on several more camping trips through another season and it's still holding up. I'm planning to continue using it in the upcoming season. This is a great little stove for the price. I wanted a small stove like this for a camping trip without having to worry about propane or other fuel, and I also wanted an option that I could potentially use in power outages at home because of our stove and appliances all being electric. This worked for both.I was skeptical it would…

Pros
  • Backpacking Stoves
Cons
  • The compact design requires frequent loading of fuel, interrupting cooking and eating

Super love this - my new review

I like the fact that it's sturdy and once burned the color change to copper. Lovely. I did take precaution when I tried this inside the house. I boiled water really quickly and it stays hot for a long time. I love that it's a higher profile so it's a little away from pots and pans. Remove the top part and you can get closer to fire.

Pros
  • It is the perfect gift for anyone who loves camping, hiking, or other outdoor activities
Cons
  • The open flames can be a hazard to children and pets if not supervised

Good little stove best in my review

I used this a couple times just to play around with. And it worked good. I have just brought this with me for camping over the weekend. I cooked hot dogs, eggs, potatoes, steak, toasted english muffins and boiled water in the kettle for coffee all using wood pellets the kind you would use in a pellet stove. Only issues I had was it's a little unstable with the pan I was using maybe the pan was too big? And a few times the pellets wouldn't burn completely but possibly an error on my part filling

Pros
  • 5.25 x 5.25 x 7.87 inches
Cons
  • Not suitable for indoor use

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used 4 times and works well

Packaged very well, convenient to backpack with pots and pan set, fits right in the pot (with bag on) so it doesn't take up any additional space in backpack. Happy camper!

Pros
  • You can easily control the temperature of the stove by adjusting the airflow, making it perfect for cooking a wide range of foods
Cons
  • The need for wood fuel can be a concern in areas where wood is scarce or not readily available

Revainrating 4 out of 5

1 tablet did not boil water

The tablet burned well and sustained a flame for 10 minutes. On my Canway stove 1 tablet did not boil 12 ounces of water but brought it right to the edge of boiling. 2 tablets would most likely bring it to a boil. There is a definite oder when burning but it isn't terrible.

Pros
  • The stove features a secure latch system, ensuring that it stays in place while you cook
Cons
  • Not suitable for cooking fragile food items

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So affordable. Worth every penny.

This is a really cool twig stove. I tested it out by cooking some hotdogs with it. It doesn't take long to get the wood gasification process going and then it burns smokeless and evenly. It's easy to assemble and to pack away. This is an essential piece of my camping gear!

Pros
  • The stove is easy to clean and maintain, ensuring that it stays in good condition for years to come
Cons
  • May not be allowed in campgrounds or parks due to restrictions

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great on my review.

This stove is great. Use wood or charcoal. I throw in a briquette or two with my wood so if flames do go out you can restart in a flash. This is the best $20. stove you will ever get. The gasifier action works great. I have this and the Firebox Nano and I'm good to go. The Canway can serve up to 4 people no problem!

Pros
  • This little stove is awesome perfect size can fit in almost any bag
Cons
  • Not very efficient when it comes to fuel consumption, requiring more wood than necessary

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Awesome little stove!

Powerful little stove! I've used it for my "cowboy coffee" and also to cook a steak on a cast-iron skillet. Small, but hot! Does it leave soot on your cookware? Yes, it does but that is not a deal breaker for me. This does require attention, as you must steadily feed it sticks/wood. One just cannot light it and walk away.

Pros
  • Burns wood pellets very efficiently.
Cons
  • The metal can become dangerously hot to the touch, posing a risk of burns
