Don't make a Honda timing belt without this one!

This really makes working with the timing belt on Honda a lot easier. I have air strikes etc but it was invaluable throughout the process. worth your money. Seems to be a quality tool. I would use it multiple times without worrying about it breaking. Some of the others I looked at before buying looked like complete junk. This is good.

  • One year trial

Made in Taiwan Chromolybdenum tool

I just received my tool yesterday and although I have not used it yet I am very happy with my purchase. The tool feels good and looks well made and finely finished. It was made in Taiwan from chrome-molybdenum steel. It seems to be everything I hoped it would be. And for those looking for a 19mm HD head I recommend the ARES 71505 head as it is equally well made and tapered enough to fit this tool. Haven't used either yet, but I'm happy with both.

  • Sturdy construction

Did the job in flywheel tools

Looks good. Other people have used this brand or another and broken the section where the ratchet fits. I can see where this might have happened, so instead of using a ratchet I was able to adjust the bar so the "hand" could rest on it and was able to loosen the crankshaft bolt with an air gun with ease. There is another brand that has a long arm that wedges the frame so there is no need for a ratchet. For me this tool worked fine and yes it doesn't "tightly" fit the balancer either, but a bigโ€ฆ

good tool. Not good.

Also good, with the appropriate experience he will master his task. It doesn't fit 100% perfectly into the crank pulley so it comes out at an angle when torque is applied. Not sure if this is a design compromise in terms of tooling or pulley manufacturing, but it's a sloppy fit. If it was a cheaper price I would have expected crap. But I expect better from a more expensive disposable item. It took some maneuvering with the attached 1/2" ratchet to get it to jam. Once jammed, a bolt-mountedโ€ฆ

but the bend down was too big. So I have a connector to support.

This worked perfectly on my Integra 95 and let me tell you this bolt was very tight. Other reviewers who said it was a little loose are correct, it's a few millimeters larger, but once I was in place and started loosening the screw it stayed in place. I've made many attempts to loosen the crank bolt with a 12" pry bar but to no avail. I then switched to a 20" rod, but the downward bend in the rod was too much. So I used a jack to support the shifter rod so it stays 90 degrees parallel to theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Interchangeable

It kind of worked but didn't fit the crank very well and slips relatively easily. However, it was critical when I had 180 ft/lbs of torque on the crankshaft pulley bolt after fitting the new belt to the engine. For removing the crankshaft pulley bolts I recommend Lisle 77080 19mm Harmonic Balancer Socket for Honda and DEWALT DCF899P1 20V MAX XR 1/2" High Torque Brushless Impact Wrench with Locking Anvil. These two bolts are removed in seconds. I would say 5 stars, if they could attach it to the

Works best as a holder in tools and equipment

Fits onto crankshaft pulley to hold pulley in place to tighten crankshaft bolt on Honda pulley. The fit is a bit loose and you have to turn the pulley to push it in to hold it in place before tightening the bolt. The surface was very clean, no oily residue when removed from the plastic blister pack, seems to be of good quality. I did not use this head to loosen the screw. I used a Makita impact wrench and a 19mm Lisle socket for removal without this holder. However, if you are loosening a bolt,
