I don't use an HDMI pass-through or a mic/headphone jack, so I can't comment on that, but the recording quality is pretty decent. This device works with FireStick or Roku as HDMI input. Almost sent it back; I connected everything and nothing together; no passage; HDMI output cable replaced, working; Verify that the device is using standard Windows drivers, VLC Video LAN is running, and the Roku menu appears on the PC. It didn't work at all. There are no programs or drivers to download, and Windows doesn't provide you with property settings for the device, so you just have to rely on Windows to tell you to set it up. I tried getting this to work via OBS Streamlabs using normal HDMI and HDMI for port mapping and neither worked. Save your time and don't buy this.

It's even better than I expected. I record without delay. I'd say it's worth it if you want a cheap capture card. Edit: If you disable your capture card for any reason, make sure you reset it to OBS or whatever you're using for capture.
