Easy to break/break off

It is sharp and precise. But prone to vibration issues which we assume led to the stem breaking. We had two and when the second one broke we replaced it with another end mill from a different manufacturer that did the same job. Back then no problem. They just tend to come loose it seems.

Pros
  • Teeth: 4 teeth, high rigidity, widely used for shallow slotting, profiling and finishing.
Cons
  • Available in black only.

Leaves a strong burr even on soft metals.

This product leaves a strong burr on soft metals, mine brass. Tried many variable speeds, none of which turned out to be better or much worse, for example none of the HEAVY ridges than the other. I would spend the extra money and try a more expensive brand. Brass should not have this problem with this device.

Pros
  • HRC 45 degrees: Carbide End Mills are excellent for machining carbon steels (~HB225), alloy steels (HB225~325), pre-hardened steels (up to HRC45), hardened steels (HRC40 ~45) and cast iron.
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

For trimming brass parts in WFT 2

Works great in my "World's Best Trimmer 2". I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to fit it into my drill bit because the shank is about a half inch shorter than the HSS end mill supplied by Little Crow Gun Factory, but it held up well in my drill bit. A carbide cutter MUST be used to cut thousands of brass cases! The pressure needed to hand slide the shroud is cut in half by the carbide over the HSS, and your hands will thank you. Productivity increases, but I still take my time pushing my
