Slightly useless

Layers of cardboard make it strong, but it's just cardboard, no abrasives to trim kitty's claws. Instead, it flakes off and makes a mess. Our cats use and rest on it, but their claws are as sharp as ever, unlike a scratching post or a scratching post with abrasive material.

Why didn't I notice?

Why didn't I realize that I can't determine the dimensions of this scraper? Why didn't I read the reviews about how small it is? Even my little cat gave me a dirty look when I put her in her usual cardboard scratching post; She left letting me know this wasn't what she expected. Only ok for kittens.

good price - scratching posts

This was one of the best purchases for my cat. Do I rather have pieces of cardboard swept up than scratching things they shouldn't, like my furniture? Absolutely. I have bought at least 8 different scratching posts for my cat and he will only use this one. My 4 cats have used these scratching posts before and they love them. They took it with them right away.

FOR KITTENS ONLY! - Scratching Posts

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE ADULT CATS! They are functional and durable, but designed for kittens only. My adult cats sniffed them, scratched a bit and one even tried to lie on them for a few minutes but the scratching posts are too small for adult cats and they lost interest in him VERY FAST. They only keep kittens. Keep looking if you want something your adult cats will love.

My cats love them.

My cats love it. They are so cheap that we can have 2 in the living room and 2 in the bedroom. You use them several times a day. And as you can see from this photo, Jeeves loves lying in it. Jasper, our other fluffy little one, also loves to lay on it. You saved our furniture. We trim her nails about every 5 weeks. But they still let her sharpen her nails.

Good price for decent scratching posts!

My cat won't touch a flat scratching post. He loves curves. So these are perfect. They don't stick to anything, so he can rotate them as he pleases, which he does. My other kitty also likes them more than any other cat scratching post I've bought for her! She actually uses it instead of a sofa. SUCCESS! Two for $16? It's decent enough. Will buy again!

Cat loves this on beds and furniture

My cat ate it all up in minutes and it's one of his favorite cat things. That's what he likes to scratch most, more than his scratching posts. They can last a very long time. I still have the original and that was two months ago. One is still in top shape and the other was pretty bad. I turned it upside down and the cat started on the underside and just kept scratching.
