I should have looked more closely at the reviews as it mentions - none of the inner pockets have a mechanism to close them securely. No zippers, buttons or Velcro. The top flap has secure latches, but there are gaps on the side that aren't big enough for an entire wallet or phone, but keys can certainly slip out. This bag is great. I only carry bags with shoulder straps and the material that makes up this bag is strong and comfortable, it's well made and unlike other bags I've had, the stitching between the bag and the straps feels strong and tight , no easy breaks. The various pockets are useful and the main pocket is a good size. My only "complaint" isn't even entirely negative: the buttons are buttoned heavily, so if you're storing something in the front pocket you'll have to take a second to undo it

This wallet is almost perfect. I'm deducting 2 stars due to my disappointment. I love this handbag, I have the purple one, very pretty, a lot of compliments. Many compartments inside the bag. I have trouble losing things (lip gloss, zip disc, nail clippers, tampons etc) in this pouch as there are no zips to secure your items in the compartment and they just fall out even with the front buttoned up. I really like this bag, it's great for the versatile use I need it for. There are just a few minor issues that resulted in me getting 4 stars instead of 5 stars. not careful.
