What you need for cleaning products

The thing is quite deceptive: At first I wrongly thought that the bristles were too soft and flexible. They turn out to be flexible enough to fit whatever veg you wash, yet tough enough to remove dirt without being so hard that they easily cut into the veg's surface.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

The bristles are not very hard.

I don't know when it became so difficult to find the right potato brush with a built in eye. I thought it would work, but the bristles aren't as stiff as they should be (I eat the skin like my potatoes are clean) and the eye digger is weird. He's flat. It's more like a cleaning brush with a built-in scraper.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Fits

Handful of brushes on cleaning tools

This is a relatively large, medium-hard brush. It's great for root vegetables, celery, and even cabbage or lettuce. For small items like radishes, your hand and fingers have adequate contact with the brush. It's ok, the brush isn't so hard that it's uncomfortable. I like using it and it seems pretty strong.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Nothing here

Arrived damaged and dirty, looks used

I have waited a while for this item to be dispatched which was more than understandable given the current global corona crisis. However, my product arrived with scratches and dents on the handle. The bristles are dirty, I believe this product has been used. I feel kind of uncomfortable and have no intention of using it for its intended purpose.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Works great.: Cleaning tools

Works great, perfect size. The only thing I didn't like is that it isn't sealed in any box/bag. They just put it in an envelope and mail it to you. I disinfected it and washed it very well before the first use. It worked great for my potatoes too. I've also used it to peel watermelons and melons. It worked out great for everyone.

Pros
  • Brushes
Cons
  • Very expensive

I sent this brush back

Looks like a good sturdy vegetable brush. But I sent it back because it wasn't in any package. It was just thrown in a box. With a product that will be used as food, I expect it to be packaged so I know it's clean. But if that doesn't bother you, you can buy this brush, it looks like a very good, durable vegetable brush.

Pros
  • Homeware
Cons
  • Off Fashion

NOT made in the USA

The product description clearly states that this brush is made in the USA but the label says 'Made in Mexico'. It doesn't have the Carlisle branding, as several reviewers have noted, but most commercial kitchenware doesn't bother with branding, so that's no surprise. The part number and SKU on the label match so I'm pretty sure it's still a Carlisle brush, but production eventually moved to Mexico and the list needs updating. Like a brush, it's ok. Heavy enough to peel potatoes and carrots…

Pros
  • Cleaning Tools
Cons
  • Slightly torn
