Used this box to replace a work box on our island that had broken off the tabs that wouldn't stick to the wall. It was easy to replace and insert and fit like a glove. Really glad how easy it was for a regular guy like me.

You can usually get them at any big hardware store, but these days they're scarce in my area like chicken teeth. I have used this product many times and it does the job. While it's obvious how to use it, I can suggest for those new to it that you work with the screws retracting the clamps to loosen them before installation. And if you need to loosen the clamps after installation, if you unscrew the screws too far, the clamps will fall behind the wall.

They are more expensive than Home Depot. They are flat too. Not super superficial, but can make installing smart switches tedious. Especially with thicker wire like 10 gauge. It's probably easy for professionals, but harder for handymen like me. The ones in home storage are deeper and cheaper lol but good luck finding them in storage. This is the ideal depth for outlets, coax, ethernet, telephone, light switches. But small for smart switches. Not impossible, just harder to push all the wires…
